2006

Performances at the Philharmonie Luxembourg

Bonjour, Monsieur Satie! all six performances of Bonjour Monsieur Satie play to a sold out house.

Out Of The Blue is performed at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland, as well as to an enthusiastic audience at the Fringe Festival in Recklinghausen, Germany..

The two-week long performance of Out of the Blue in Berlin is acclaimed by the Berlin press a
‘one of the best productions of the year.’

In celebration of its ten year anniversary, the duo renames itself as Compagnie Bodecker & Neander.

2005

The Konzerthaus Berlin commissions Neander and v. Bodecker to create a visual homage to Erik Satie Bonjour, Monsieur Satie!

Directed by Lionel Menard, the musical pantomime is premiered in January and since then has been performed regularly at the Konzerthaus.
Out Of The Blue tours Luxembourg, Warsaw and debuts at the renowned Théâtre le Ranelagh in Paris.
Neander and von Bodecker assist Marcel Marceau during his tour of Germany.

2004

Neander and v. Bodecker are Marcel Marceau’s assistants during his tour of Germany.
Out Of The Blue tours Switzerland and is performed at the Objekttheater in Leipzig.
¡ silence ! is performed at the Mime Festival in Saarbrücken as well as at Schloss Elmau.

 

2003

The Theatre Mimo Magique directs the entire visual conception of ‘Il Mimoda’, a theatrical fashion show for the designer Pascale Kervan, at the Cirque Royale in Brussels. The star guest of the evening is Marcel Marceau.
Invitation to the International Arts Festival in China for performances of ¡ silence!
Work on Stravinsky’s ‘The Soldiers Tale’ together with Mirella Weingarten at the Konzerthaus in Berlin.
Tour of the United States of Philipp Glass In The Upper Room with the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester.

In cooperation with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, ‘La Decouverte’, a visual concert using Philip Glass’ Symphony No. 3, tours Germany.

2001


Creation and premiere of Out Of The Blue at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. The theatrical piece, conceived by Alexander Neander, is directed by Lionel Menard. Didier Brun is in charge of the lighting. Tours to Great Britain, Venezuela, and performances in Germany.
Further tours with the Compagnie Marcel Marceau. in der Akademie der Künste, Berlin.

 

2000

Numerous orchestras express interest in working with the duo for visual concerts.
ECLAT, the festival for new music, commissions von Bodecker and Neander to create performances for music of eight contempoarary composers. Under the direction of Lionel Menard, L'Etoile Filante is premiered at the Theaterhaus Wangen together with the Arditti Quartet in London and the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart.
As artistic advisor and director, Lionel Menard plays a decisive role in the company’s creative development. Future projects reveal more influence of 'théâtre d’image' and 'théâtre d’objet'.
Philipp Glass arranges his music In The Upper Room for a pantomime performance together with the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester. With this the third visual concert ‘Romeo and Romeo’ is premiered, with perfomances in the Mercedes Forum in Stuttgart, the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival and the Expo2000 in Hannover.

1999

Working together with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Octet, the Concert visuel en Françaix premieres as the duo’s first visual concert. A hommage to the French composer Jean Françaix, this new genre is met with great success at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and at the Dresdner Semperoper.
¡ silence ! receives the Berlin Publikumspreis at the Pantomime Festival. The duo tours Venezeula.

1998

Tours with Marcel Marceau to Japan, Great Britain and Taiwan.
First conception “Visual Concerts” for the duo, incorporating a mixture of concert and mime performance.

1997

silence! tours Belgium and Germany.
Marcel Marceau engages Wolfram von Bodecker and Alexander Neadner for his new mime drama “Le Chapeau Melon,” premiered at the Munich Prinzregententheater. Next to their roles as actors for the productions, Alexander Neander serves an aide for the musical selections, while Wolfram von Bodecker is responsible for the special effects. The work is performed for two months in Paris.

1996

The duos work together begins on a luxury liner. Taking inspiration from the myriad of impressions upon their trip to numerous foreign countries, Wolfram von Bodecker and Alexander Neander develop their first ideas. Forming the Théâtre Mimo Magique, their debut performances of ¡ silence ! as a pantomime duo is met with enthusiasm. The classical program allows the two to also experiment with magic and visual theater.
